Impact Energy Development ("IED") is a Hong Kong company that is wholly owned by Impact Electrons Siam. IED is developing a 95 MWDC solar power generation plant on land at Black Point, Tuen Mun in the New Territories of Hong Kong ("the Project"). The Project will be Hong Kong’s first large scale renewable energy project and the electricity generated by the Project will power over 22,600 households annually with clean power, reducing Hong Kong’s CO2 emission by 55,000 tons per year.

Following the release of the Hong Kong Government’s Climate Action Plan 2030+ in March 2017, IED started a territory-wide detailed feasibility study for a large-scale solar power plant to be built in Hong Kong. IED shortlisted three potential sites where a large-scale solar plant could be constructed, which together have a solar generating capacity of over 239 MWDC, and is now proceeding with development of the Black Point site.
